Nizam Bashir has started something really interesting on his blog and he has called it 50 Posts to Independence.

“In exactly 49 Weeks (starting from 22.09.2006), it will be our great nations golden jubilee since achieving its independence. As a tribute of that momentous occassion, I will tag one blogger after this who will then be required to post 1 post within 7 days of being tagged on anything that makes Malaysia special to that person. I am calling it ‘50 Posts to Independence’.”

Right now the latest post was done by Pok Ku with 37 posts to go.

It gives us a glimpse of how Malaysians (even foreigners whom have made Malaysia their home) perceive their country, sharing their despairs, disappointments, hopes and dreams.

It will indeed be interesting to see their thoughts across race, religion and the class divides.

You can read all of it below. (I will try to update them as more people are being tagged!)

  1. Great idea! Nice to read what people think of the tanahair.

Anyone producing videos or snapping away moments for posterity?

The Siber Party of Malaysia (M) is thinking of it, but we need the combined resources of the Malaysian blogosphere – anyone game do drop us a line ;)
